The menu at The Cornershop is masterminded by Gigi’s Hospitality Group, the same geniuses behind The Grapevine Italian Restaurant and Library at just a stone throw’s distance. You’ll soon learn that the staff unfailingly to treat you as family all the same. 

The food at The Cornershop is headlined by a soulful, succulent, Rotisserie Chicken, peeled dripping fresh from the by the grill by The Gigi’s Group’s master roasters straight to you. The meat is slow cooked to absolute perfection using state of the art rotisserie equipment using wrapped heat, bringing the marinated herbs and skin to a golden-brown crisp before being carved for your plate. 

Mouth-watering side dishes include Coconut Sweet Mash Potato, Corn on the Cob, Cajun Fries, Spicy Beans, Fried Rice, or a Broccoli Garlic Chilli for that spicy kick. 

For starters, a popular choice is the delectable Chicken Caesar’s Salad, flavourful enough to upgrade as a main course, or the scrumptious Chicken Donuts and Wings which will have you coming back just for them regularly.

A whole rotisserie chicken costs £12.50 or a half for just £8. While prices reflect the warm and welcoming approach adopted by owner and food artisan Giovanna, one should still expect the quality of the meal to excel in every aspect, down to the brittle roast rosemary sticks and moist browned garlic flavouring your crisped chicken. Sunday Roasts are an all-day event, with the flavourful baby chicken marinated with garlic and rosemary served with roast carrots, beetroot, broccoli and potatoes. For vegetarians, the Nut Roast accompanied with a house special Vegetable Gravy is an absolute must.
